Sandelholz Bartkamm aus Holz - Braun

Ich (m) habe dünnes und leichtes Haar, trage einen Seitenscheitel. Mit dem Kamm ist das stylen meiner Frisur sehr schnell, gleichmäßig und ordentlich. Früher mit Bürste und Hände habe ich mehrere Minuten gebraucht, mit dem Kamm in ein paar Sekunden.
Die Zinken sind angenehm auf dem Kopf, sind schön abgerundet.
Kamm wirkt sehr bruchsicher, ich denke durch die Karbon Fasern, ein biegen ist nur wenig möglich da er so stabil ist.

Der Kamm liegt gut in der Hand. Qualitativ hochwerig. Gutes Material. Antistatisch. Das Gewicht ist höher als man denken würde was zur Wertigkeit beträgt. Würde ich wieder kaufen. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Ich habe den Charlemagne Styling Kamm für Haare und Bart ausgiebig getestet, und er liefert in vielen Bereichen beeindruckende Ergebnisse. Doch ein Stern Abzug muss sein – für den Preis von 10 € erwarte ich etwas mehr.

Robustheit:
Der Kamm hält, was er verspricht. Das Carbon-Material ist wirklich bruchfest, selbst bei starkem Druck oder täglichen Anwendungen zeigt er keine Schwächen. Im Vergleich zu normalen Kunststoffkämmen wirkt er deutlich langlebiger.

Funktion der groben Zahnung:
Die Zahnung funktioniert hervorragend bei dicken, lockigen und sogar feinen Haaren. Knoten gleiten nahezu schmerzfrei heraus, ohne Ziepen oder Reißen – das macht ihn ideal für jeden Haartyp.

Antistatische Wirkung:
Hier bin ich positiv überrascht. Im Winter, wenn Haare leicht aufgeladen werden, bleibt alles geschmeidig und glatt. Gerade bei trockenem Haar oder nach dem Föhnen ein echter Vorteil.

Handhabung:
Der Kamm liegt durch die matte Oberfläche gut in der Hand. Auch mit feuchten Händen hatte ich nie das Gefühl, dass er rutschen könnte. Das Design ist schlicht, aber funktional – ideal für den Alltag.

Für Bartpflege geeignet:
Ich nutze ihn auch für meinen Vollbart, und er leistet super Arbeit. Selbst dichte oder längere Bärte lassen sich ohne Ziepen in Form bringen. Besonders für das Einarbeiten von Bartöl ist er perfekt.

Reinigung:
Die Reinigung ist simpel. Rückstände wie Haarwachs oder Bartöl lassen sich problemlos abwaschen. Das Carbon-Material scheint keinerlei Schaden zu nehmen.

Preis-Leistung:
Hier liegt der Knackpunkt. Der Kamm ist hochwertig, das steht außer Frage, aber 10 € für ein Stück Carbon wirkt überteuert. Vergleichbare Produkte bieten ähnliche Qualität zu einem günstigeren Preis.

Fazit:
Ein wirklich hochwertiger Kamm für Haare und Bart mit beeindruckender Leistung und Langlebigkeit. Doch der Preis sollte meiner Meinung nach etwas niedriger sein.

This is my second folding comb from Striking Viking. The first one was of very high quality and was durable. I carried it and used it daily for five years. Only in the last six months had it shown any wear, when one of the combs teeth broke off, then several others followed suit. I wasn't upset, but was actually impressed that as inexpensive of a comb as it was, it would hold up as well as it did.
I decided to order a replacement comb, which arrived today. Upon opening the box, boy was I disappointed. What was once a product that had excellent manufacturing, now looks like they've switch to using pallet boards and have outsourced manufacturing to the blind guy down the block. The blade of the comb is more crooked than a politician, is bowed and warped every which way and barely closes because of this.
Not worth the hassle of returning a sub $15 comb, but I won't be purchasing any striking viking products in the future.

I would honestly say for the money im disappointed in the quality the teeth of the comb are not straight the fit and finish could use some love too as there are gaps where the comb part and the backing are made out of two different peices and seemingly two different types of wood and glued together the inside of the handle is unfinished and still has clumps of sawdust up in there Where they carved it out but it smells nice after you use it a few times and it is functional

First off it feels and looks well built. I really like it outside of most of the teeth on the comb are miss shaped. So some work fine but some grab too much. I wish the QC was better.

Let’s start with the positives:

I like this comb, it has a very classic old school vibe. It folds up very small and can be packed into very small places. I do not notice any issues with the open/close movement that a lot of other reviews mention.

What I don’t like:

Take a look at the two photos I attached. The comb was delivered like that. I do not believe that this comb will last very long. I think that the very first time I drop this comb, it will probably break. This seems like a major lapse in quality control.

I will continue to use this. If it’s still holding up in a year, I’ll come back and update this review.

Gute Qualität Preis ist auch ok

Great beard grooming comb.

I love the idea of this comb, I love that its handmade and the reviews looked awesome. I understand it's handmade so won't be perfect, but it should at least be usable. I purchased on Thursday, first comb arrived on Friday and was completely unusable. The teeth were all loose, warped and whole thing sounded like it would snap when using it. Went thru Amazon and they sent out a replacement which arrived the next day.

The second one is definitely better, it doesn't open all the way which isn't ideal but not a deal breaker, the teeth are sturdier, but the comb was clearly damaged while they were making it as you can see they used wood glue to patch in about half of the teeth.

Overall the comb looks like it'd be really awesome if you got one that turned out as advertised but so far I'm 0/2 on getting one that fits that bill.

I was excited to get this, I waited over 2 weeks and the box wasn’t damaged, but it arrived with missing teeth? I rated the first 1 star because of the missing teeth. It was clearly un known at the time of shipping.

I’m happy with the replacement. The second one I would give 5 stars. Compact foldable and easy for travel.

I have three of these and they do a good job overall. However, the bristles are prone to warping close together causing tugging on the beard. For a sandalwood comb, it does not smell of it. One comb already has a broken bristle. I always use these brushes with balms, oils, and butters so I am never combing a dry beard. I do have to question the longevity of these combs.

Overall, I am happy with this comb. However, I found out that it isn’t very resistant to heat, and will warp very easily. I had to have air dryers in my bathroom after a flood, and after two days, the comb was warped, but still usable.

Originally purchased this comb in August of 2022. One of my most favorite Amazon purchases of all time. Comb is functional, well-built, well designed, looks great and smells amazing. I have had this comb primarily in my truck and had a completely different non-folding POS beard comb from a Striking Viking competitor to use in the bathroom at home. After a year of use my original Striking Viking folding comb has held up well and is still one of my favorite products purchased on Amazon. Also, being made of green sandalwood it smelled unbelievable when first purchased and I had read that the smell would diminish over time. However, after a year not only has the beautiful sandalwood smell not faded whatsoever, I think it has gotten even stronger. I had it in my pocket recently and a friend asked me what smelled so good. Turns out she was smelling my Striking Viking folding beard comb. Love this comb to this day.

Now for the sad part of the story. Since I loved my original comb so much I figured I would order another to have one in my truck and one in the bathroom at home. Upon receiving the new comb I was shocked at the nightmarish quality. I immediately noticed that the color is completely different from the GREEN sandalwood comb I've been using for a year. The sandalwood smell was also non-existent. I'm skeptical that this is even made of the same wood as my original. If that were my only complaint I probably would have kept it, but the teeth were more twisted and warped than a 2x4 on the bottom of the pallet at Home Depot. I then became convinced it's not green sandalwood as advertised.

So I decided to return the bunk comb and when going through the return process on Amazon I saw an option to receive a replacement instead. Since I love my original Striking Viking beard comb so much I figured I'd give it another shot and cross my fingers that my new one was just an anomaly. Upon receiving the replacement I couldn't believe my eyes, it was even worse! First of all, same non-existent sandalwood smell and appearance completely different from my original one. Second, when I went to open the comb up from the folded position it wouldn't even open completely straight like the other two I had on the table. Then I inspected the teeth and while not quite as grotesquely twisted as the other one, it definitely is warped and nowhere near the robust quality as my original. Massive disappointment.

I WAS a huge Striking Viking fan with several products that I use regularly and recommend to friends whenever possible. However, given this lack of quality control and unacceptable "green sandalwood" material I can no longer recommend this beard comb. It creates doubt in my mind about their other products as well. I'm just happy I got an amazing beard comb from them while the getting was good a year ago. Fingers crossed that I don't break or lose it.

Hier mal meine Eindrücke zu diesem Kamm.

Vorgeschichte:
Ich habe mir diesen Kamm gekauft, weil ich unter dem Motto lebe:
„Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal“.
Also ab in den Warenkorb gelegt und vorsichtshalber noch andere Kämme angeschaut. Bin dann hier auf Amazon noch auf einen anderen Kamm für nur 3,99 Euro gestoßen, der auch sehr wertig aussah. (NASHRIO Profi Friseur Kamm) Also, aus reiner Neugier, und weil man bei Amazon so schön unkompliziert wieder zurückschicken kann, habe ich mir auch noch diesen Kamm dazu bestellt. Ich wollte beide mal testen und vergleichen.

Und hier mein Ergebnis: (Siehe auch Bilder)

Im Prinzip ein guter Kamm, aber etwas überteuert.

Die angegeben Maße stimmen weitestgehend überein.
Die Rückenstärke ist nicht, wie angegeben 8mm, sondern nur 7mm dick.
Aber damit kann ich noch leben.
(Habe alles mit einem digitalen Messschieber gemessen)

Man mag jetzt evtl. anführen, das der teure Kamm eine längere Kammfläche hat, aaaaber - mit der vollen Fläche kämmt man sich ja nicht wirklich, denn so eine gerade Kopfoberfläche in dieser breite, hat ja – Gott sei Dank – niemand. ;-)

Obwohl der billige Kamm etwas dickere Zahnspitzen hat, empfinde ich das Kämmgefühl etwas besser als beim teureren. Aber das ist Geschmackssache und muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.

Der Kunststoff ist bei beiden sehr wertig. Wenn ich es in Zahlen ausdrücken müsste, würde ich dem billigen eine 97 geben und dem teuren eine 99.
Allerding in der Optik würde ich dem billigen eine 96 geben und dem teuren wieder eine 99.
Vom „anfühlen“ her nehmen sich beide nichts. Sie fühlen sich beide gleich an und klingen auch gleich wenn man sie aneinander, bzw. an eine Tischkante schlägt. (Also klopft, nicht schlägt) ;-)

Sorry, aber die Mehrkosten von 6,00 Euro, das ist der teure Kamm nicht Wert. Das Kämmen mit dem teuren Kamm fühlt sich auch irgendwie merkwürdig an. Etwas klobig. Als würde man sich mit einem Holzlineal kämmen. Ich kann‘s leider nicht so gut beschreiben, aber wie schon erwähnt, fühlt sich der billige besser an.

Hier mal eine Randbemerkung wegen diverser Kommentare in den Rezensionen:

Mal ehrlich, zum „normalen“ kämmen ist diese Art von Kamm nicht gedacht. Er dient dazu um einen bestimmten Look zu bekommen, wenn man vorher Wachs/Pomade o.ä. in die Haare schmiert. Für das „normale“ kämmen ist er gänzlich ungeeignet.

Und wer glaubt mit diesem Kamm wäre statisches aufladen nicht möglich, der hat in der Schule nicht aufgepasst. Sorry, ist aber so.

Bei einem Rezensenten musste ich doch mal lachen. Er nimmt diesen Kamm wohl zur Zahnpflege. Scheinbar um seine Zahnzwischenräume von Essensresten zu entfernen. LOL Sorry, der musste sein. :)

Ob das Carbon wirklich einen Mehrwert hat, bezweifel ich auch. Es soll zwar besser gegen Hitze geschützt sein und auch „bruchsicher“ sein, aber selbst der billiger Latscha Kamm meiner Mutter für 2,00 DM aus den 70er hält bis heute durch.

Meinen Aldi billig Kamm hat es bis heute auch überlebt und er ist auch schon zig Jahre alt OHNE sich zu verformen oder zu zerbrechen << ;-)

Und ob es auch wirklich Carbon ist...? :-/
Für mich ist es einfach nur Plastik. Ein anderer Rezensent ist sich deswegen auch sicher, dass dies KEIN Carbon ist. Es sieht nicht aus wie Carbon und ist in der Tat etwas zu schwer dafür.

Und bitte, man wirbt mit den Worten:

„...und eignet sich somit auch perfekt als Geschenk für jedermann. Ob für den Vatertag, den Valentinstag, den Geburtstag, Weihnachten, den Jahrestag oder andere besondere Ereignisse.

Sorry, das ist so, als würde ich meiner Frau zum Geburtstag/Weihnachten ein Bügeleisen schenken. Leute/Frauen, macht das nicht. Es sei denn ihr habt mit eurem Mann noch eine Rechnung offen. ;-)

Dem könnte man so etwas schenken, aber sonst bitte nicht.

Ich will diesen Kamm nicht schlecht machen, er ist ganz okay und chic, aber auch überteuert. Und bei der Zinkenstärke ist es klar das sie nicht so schnell abbrechen wie diese hauchdünnen Zinken/Zähne eines „normalen“ Kamms. Wie gesagt, meine Mutter hat noch so einen und der lebt heute noch. ;-) Mit ALLEN Zähnen dran. Und sie toupiert ihre Haare seit den 70er Jahren TÄGLICH !

Aber im Endeffekt muss jeder selbst entscheiden welchen Kamm er nimmt. Dies sind nur meine persönlichen Eindrücke zu dem Kamm. Ich behalte ihn auch, obwohl man eine Geld zurück Garantie hat, bei Nichtgefallen, aber ich lasse mich gerne noch vom Kamm überzeugen. ;-) Und es ist nicht so das er mir nicht gefällt, so ist es nicht. Nur eben viel zu teuer.
Ich fände 3,00 bis 4,00 € angebracht. MAXIMAL 5,00 €. Und selbst das ist für Kunststoff noch zu viel.

I have a pretty thick and long beard and this isn't really the best option for me. The comb barely get through me beard and I have to brush from the top then the bottom because it doesn't reach all the way through. The "blade" part also doesn't lock when it's opened so you have to keep your finger on the backside so that it doesn't try to partially close while in use.
Overall it's still a decent comb especially for the price and if you don't have a long or thick beard
