This vanilla scent is subtle and also really good smelling! It’s easy to apply a targeted amount with the included dropper. Outstanding oil for my skin - especially right now since it’s winter and my skin is incredibly dry.

This pre-shave oil really has a nice soothing and moisturizing aspect about it. It goes on really smoothly, and I can immediately feel the nice sense of hydration, conditioning, and protection on my skin. I’m prone to little nicks and cuts, along with ingrown hairs. I’m hoping that by using this pre-shave oil that I will experience less of those issues along with just providing my skin with better care. I think this oil has great potential, and it really feels nice to use it. The only thing I’m not too fond of about it is the fragrance. The vanilla is just not very appealing to me. Had this been made with something like vetiver, clary sage, sandalwood, cedarwood, or a combination thereof, I think it would be more appealing and enjoyable to use.

This is my first time using shave oil and it makes a big difference in how close of a shave you get, and how comfortable of a shave you get. Nice vanilla scent to it as well.

This product has transformed my shaving experience. Smells great and the blade practically glides across my face giving me an extra close smooth shave.
As with most shave oils it seems to leave hands and parts of razor a little sticky.

Easy to access and apply. Seems to work well on my head as well as my bears.

Oil has a light scent and works well as pre shave product. Good value and bottle will last as only 3-4 drops are needed for light stubble.

The performance is fine but the fragrance is supposed to be sandalwood and it has an off odor to it compared to most sandalwood shaving products. It was bad enough I tossed the almost full bottle. I should have sent it back but I didn't. It is considerably cheaper per ounce then the other sandalwood pre shave oils I typically use but with that fragrance it is not worth it.

Softens beard and skin for a good shave

I like this product cause it coats your face and provides a great shave. The one downside is cleaning up oil out of your razor and out of your sink, but it works great under a shaving cream like TOBS.

Takes just a quarter of the medicine liquid dispenser to put on my face as a preshave. Wipe it off with a hot wet towel and then put on the lather.

Seems to be a good product. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a dropper on this should have their head examined. A smooth cap on this makes no sense since any oil makes it impossible to.grip.

I am quite happy with this preshave oil. I also used it as an oil for my mustache. It works well, has a great scent to keep you smelling good while you are in your village out on an epic Viking voyage to Greenland or Vinland. Skol!

I have been using Uncle Ron's for over a year, and it was pretty good, but it was not unscented when first applied. The Striking Viking is truly unscented, and it is a somewhat thicker oil that is giving me a closer shave. Even better at a lower price.

Smells great, but just not sure if it helps with saving. It might add a bit of sickness, but my shaves do seem to get a tiny bit less post shave irritation

Oil works but has a very weak smell. Which some may like, but I would like it to smell a bit more.

Perfect pre-shave oil and also use on my beard. Leaves beard manageable and soft.

I got this for my son and he loves it! It has a really please scent and he said it makes his beard feel smooth.

I've ordered a few Striking Viking items, and their vanilla scent is one of the best I've smelled. It's not overly artificial, but there's enough musk/spice in there to keep it from being too feminine. If they ever come up with a vanilla spiced cologne, I'd be the first to purchase it. I have all their shaving products in their vanilla scent, and just recently got their hair pomade. 5/5 on the scent.

This pre shave oil is amazing and helps the razor glide over your skin. I experience less pull against my skin when I'm shaving, and that results in less irritation or razor burn. It is oily (as the name implies) so you have to be sure to wash it off well after shaving. Usually the shaving cream is plenty to get the oil off, but if you accidentally apply it to a place you don't shave then you'll be left with some residual oil. Nothing some soap and a towel can't fix.

Love this pre shave oil--mix this with the vanilla shaving cream and aftershave from Striking Viking and you're all set.

This oil smells so good and it leaves my beard feeling so soft. I can notes of the vanilla throughout the day after using this, which I really like. As a shaving oil it works really well and does exactly what you want from a good quality shave oil. I'm able to apply this all over and the parts of my face I shave feel like they get a good close cut and my whole face feels really moisturized afterwards.

This is a nice shaving oil. The ingredients are very simple, natural oils. It has real vanilla oil in it as the scent, so you just smell like a nice warm cookie with the natural vanilla oil scent. This oil works well as a shaving oil, and is decent as a beard oil as well. Pretty simple, no nonsense. You get a pretty good sized bottle, it's worth the price.

First, the scent of this pre shave oil is wonderful. A very rich and warm vanilla. Not girly but not so macho a woman can't enjoy it as well.

My guy loves the feel of it on his skin and his skin is less dry after shaving. Seems to be a slightly closer shave as well. I tested it on my legs and loved it, almost kept it.

The bottle isn't large but so far it's lasted longer than expected. Probably would have gone faster had I kept using it on my legs.

I use and have many essential oils, and this does not smell good to me at all. It says Sandalwood, but compared to my own sandalwood, this smell musty (old, not musky) and unpleasant. I haven't had a chance to use it to see if it is good on the skin, but with the 'bad smell' I'm not sure I want it to be on my skin.

I tried this on my legs and my husband uses it on his facial hair. We both had the same opinion that it makes the shave much smoother, seems closer, doesn't leave razor burn and the smell is so earthy and great. We don't have any reactions to the oil afterwards, like breakouts and such. Great value.

Got this as part of a gift for my brother for the holidays. The vanilla scent is great! I love it, he loves it, and his wife loves it. As he doesn't keep a beard, good creams, lotions, and oils to help keep shaving easier and his skin healthier are always something on his wishlist. This seems to be a huge hit so far and I may need to pick up some more for my daughter's boyfriend...
