Hubby wasn't sure what to expect since he had never used this type of product before. Found it to be slightly messy, as powder went everywhere upon opening, as well as when applying. Smells good though and does a great job of keeping hair styled during busy days at work.

Oh my goodness this powder feels like cement in the hair. I don't know what kind of magical ingredients cause it to feel like this, but it works. It will feel powdery thick and stick strands to each other with a little bit of light rubbing you don't see the powder. It was able to hold my wavy hair up And keep it in a tiny hair clip for most of the day yesterday, but I couldn't wait to get it washed out before bed. I don't think anybody will be running their fingers through hair if you use this. If you've ever sprayed artificial color in your hair for Halloween, just multiply that feeling times 10 and that's what it felt like to me. I can see this being great for a short pixie cut hair to get lift and volume.

Heads up before you open it, there’s a silver seal on top. I suggest peeling back just a small section, because the powder comes out fast. Better to control the flow from the start.

It definitely does what it claims. The scent is light, kind of like vanilla, and it gives the hair that gritty, textured feel right away. It leaves a bit of a film on your hands and hair, kind of like dry shampoo, but since it’s meant to give strong hold, that’s expected.

Even with that strong hold, the hair stayed flexible. We could comb and style it with no problem.

The only to note: on darker hair (like my son’s), the white powder can be a little noticeable. It didn’t ruin the look, but you do need to use it sparingly or brush it in well to blend.

I got this for my partner who has longer hair so I thought he might prefer it to what he was using. He did not. The first issue had was the fact the foil WOULD NOT come off the top. It tore in frustratingly difficult ways and needed be picked off in small pieces. That was not fun. It does smell nice, so I’ll give it that. It has a nice scent. Maybe because his hair is longer, it doesn’t have the hold it would on shorter hair? Or maybe because we live in a warm state and he sweats it doesn’t have any longevity for hold, it just didn’t work for him. His hair was utterly wild by the end of the day. I’m not certain what it was, it just didn’t work as I’d hoped.

I don't know that I'll use this very much. It's supposed to go on dry hair, and it just kind of makes it stick to itself, making it very hard to brush or comb once it's in. It smells like talcum powder. It seemed to hold about as well as pomade, but obviously it's got a very dry look to it. It also makes my hair look a lot lighter shade than it is, which is not something I was going for. Maybe it would be good for a 100 days of school outfit day.

I would say since I've never tried any styling powder before, those negatives are probably going to be the same with any. But if that's what you're going for, this is good enough.

this smells so good! it does exactly as it says. it adds volume and also helps reduce oil. it really does it all. would definitely recommend. you get more than what I thought as well.

I'm a female with very fine thin hair. Even just wearing a ponytail is difficult sometimes. My hair reminds me of that of a 2-year-old. It's very wispy and so fine that it's hard to keep in a ponytail holder. Using hair styling powder creates enough texture that I can actually wear my hair in a ponytail, a bun or styled with a clip. It does make my hair feel filmy sort of but it makes it so I can achieve some body and makes it more stylable. Clips and braids that normally fall out right away will stay in place all day. This hair powder also has a nice light vanilla scent.

Well packaged but a little difficult to open plastic wrap but it’s nicely sealed in the bottle. Product smells really good. I feel like I would use it. Half a day and reapply after the evening since it would take some time to do my hair.

This smells nice. I know its for men, but I am using this to give my hair some lift in the front. It works for what I want it for. It is a little messy, but you definitely need to apply this to your hands and then put in the hair where you want it. I got the lift I needed and it looked nice. I thought the price was fair for the amount you get

I really want to like this but the powder is messy, and it makes my hair impossible to comb or move much beyond what I style it into. I will give it credit on that the hold is decent, the smell is nice, and it does provide volume for sure. However, with my long and mostly curly hair I just don't think it's compatible with me, as much as I wanted it to be because this is a pretty neat product.

I have baby fine, thinning hair that's cut into a pixie, with longer hair on the top. I love this product. The scent is subtle, much more so than most women's products, and it works well as a unisex fragrance.

Gave my hair really great texture, and it lasted all day. I don't usually put any hairspray or anything in my hair, and I was able to re-tousle it as needed, and my hair always looked freshly done. (Anyone with baby fine hair will know your hair needs retouching throughout the day as the slightest breeze totally messes up your hair.)

I always struggle with hair products as a guy. My hair is short but long enough that I've got it flipped up off the front. The problem is my hair is incredibly straight and wants to naturally lay all in one direction.

That means I've got to blow dry it first to get it "stuck" in the direction I want, followed by a massive amount of product (usually, a pomade followed by hairspray) to keep the desired look strong throughout the day.

Let me tell you, this stuff is like magic pixie dust... put just a SPRINKLE in your hand, mix through hair, voila, super strong, pliable hold. I'm able to use a brush to work it in well and get my desired look. I still finish with a little bit of hairspray, but not nearly as much as I used to.

I'm still astonished how much this powder is able to style my hair. It goes on clean, you see zero residue, nothing white, and it is silly strong - you can't use too much or good luck trying to move your hair at all!

The scent is kind of not noticeable, and it doesn't really smell like vanilla. Hard to explain it but no matter because you can't detect it after working it in anyway. Not a problem for me, I don't want my hair product acting as cologne.

I've used half a dozen different styling powder brands, and this is honestly one that I won't be returning to.

Here's the primary issue, as far as I can tell: most styling powders use a form of silica silylate as one of the active ingredients. This is a treated form of silica that is "hydrophobic," so it actively repels water and thickens hair, adding strength and volume to the hold. This brand only lists "silica" without a silylate variant, and it definitely feels different. This powder feels more like talc when you pour it into your hand, and while it does have a decent hold, it takes a much larger amount to get the desired results than other brands do, and this brand leaves more residue on your scalp that you have to try to work in so it doesn't show. Overall, especially at this price point, I'd suggest you look elsewhere for a better value on better ingredients.

Most gels, mousses and sprays for men make hair hard and sticky. I HATE that! I was looking for a solution to be able to style my hair without the wet/greasy look. I came across this styling powder, which I didn't even know was a thing, and decided to give it a shot. It's so unique and works great! It smells fantastic and really works. It styled my hair, kept it in place and looked soft and dry versus hard and wet like other solutions. I'm so happy I found this!

First of all, read the instructions. This is not to be applied directly to your hair or scalp, it's supposed to go on your hands and then your hands go on your hair. I didn't catch that part in the first time I used it was a disaster.

Once I read the instructions and done things properly, I found that this helped give my hair a little extra oomph without any of the sticky mess I had the first time. The smell is a light vanilla, and once it settles isn't really noticeable which I'm happy with. The texture lasted all day, and when used minimally does not leave a white cast on your hair at all. If you just dump this stuff on your head like I did the first time it definitely adds a slight white overcast, but that's not the right way to do it... so don't do that.

We’ve had this product before from the fancy barber we took our 9-year-old to. It’s not really a “hold” product like a gel or hairspray. It’s more about creating that 3-day-old hair feel within minutes (that you need for an updo...ooh, gotta try that). The effect is similar to a pomade or wax, just in a newer form.

That said, it’s easy to overdo it. It’s messy to apply unless you’re calm and careful—just a light sprinkle directly into the hair works best. Comes packaged in a protective plastic wrapper as well as a box for added protection. I like the consistency of the texturizing powder itself, it also has a nice feel in the hair. The scent is nice, not too strong or overpowering. Good product for men’s hair, many textures can benefit from using this.

I like I liked this product more than my husband did. Although it’s a little messy to apply. He chose to put a little in his hands and style from there, some got in the counter and needed cleaned up. I suppose with more practice this could be mitigated. The style looks nice, I like that it doesn’t look wet like gels or waxes.

However it is a little sticky feeling once in the hair. I think it’s a small price to pay for nice looking styled hair but my husband isn’t used to it. I’m someone that uses texturizing products daily for some volume in my fine hair so I might just end up taking this over from him. It does smell nice, very subtle. Overall I’m pleased that this is a viable styling product option but I took off a star because he had a couple valid points.

This is priced at a premium, where similar products can be found a bit cheaper. Duration and hold strength for this and any of these type products are going to be mid and I would use it for natural looks or added to daily hair styling routines.
